This gorgeous wrap is handwoven on my Rigid Heddle Loom in my home studio in Nova Scotia, Canada.
This wrap measures approximately 12" X 80" not including the fringes. (about 31cm x almost 2 metres). There is a maker's tag sewn into one corner of the wrap. The twisted fringes are about 4 1/2" long (11cm)
The warp (lengthwise and fringes) is 100% handspun and hand dyed yarn. The weft (or weave, back and forth) is 100% wool handspun yarns. The yarns are very soft and would be fine for most, next to skin. This shawl/wrap has a nice weight to it, it's a true "hug". Gorgeous and a bit rustic. It is definitely a OOAK (One of a Kind) item. Can be work as a shawl or a scarf.
Care Instructions: Wash gently in tepid water and gentle soap, roll gently in towel to absorb the water, then lay flat to dry. Never put this in a washing machine or dryer and do not wring in order to keep it looking beautiful for many years.
