This oversized wrap / shawl is handwoven on my Rigid Heddle Loom in my home studio in Nova Scotia, Canada.
All the yarns in this woven wrap are handwoven by me on my Spinning wheel, after I dyed the fibres. It's very warm, luxurious and one of a kind. Imagine wearing this on an evening beach walk, or by the campfire. It would be equally as nice to wrap yourself in over a dressy outfit or a pair of jeans. All the yarns are handspun by me, and some of the yarn even has some tiny beads spun right into the yarn. This is certainly a unique piece.

This wrap measures approximately 25" X 71" not including the fringes. (about 64cm cm x 1.8 metres). There is a maker's tag sewn into one corner of the shawl.
The warp (lengthwise and fringes) is a Wool and mohair blend Handspun yarn. The weft (or weave, back and forth) is mostly 100% wool handspun as well as some mohair and other wools. This scarf is very "beachy" and cozy.
Care Instructions: Wash gently in tepid water and gentle soap, roll gently in towel to absorb the water, then lay flat to dry. Never put this in a washing machine or dryer and do not wring in order to keep it looking beautiful for many years. If you choose to gently iron it, it's best to put a damp cloth on top while ironing. Please note there are some glass beads in some of the yarn used in this garment.
